Romania’s government approved a national artificial intelligence strategy for 2024-2027, falling in line with EU ambitions for the bloc to become a global leader in the field.
The strategy “underpins the European funding dedicated to the introduction of state-of-the-art technologies” and expresses the hope that state institutions, led by the tax authority (ANAF), will “rapidly and extensively employ artificial intelligence in risk analysis, public tenders, and any processes aimed at optimising public spending.”, said Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
